oil and gas industry, the American Petroleum
Institute (API) currently represents more than
400 member companies involved in all aspects of
the industry. Drawing on the experience and
expertise of its members and staff, API works to
establish standards and best practices to
support a strong and viable oil and gas
industry, and ensure its members have the
information they need to thrive in today's
dynamic, global world market.
As the exclusive knowledge transfer consultant
to the API for more than 30 years, RDC developed
the PILOT (Programs in Learning Operating
Techniques) Series. Long considered the industry
standard for operator training, the PILOT series
is the most extensive library of learning
content ever developed for the industry,
delivering more than 35 million hours of
training to operators around the world.
As an API Certified Training Provider, RDC
continues its commitment to the industry by
establishing best practice standards and
assuring clients of market-driven learning and
compliance solutions that meet the API's
standards for excellence and quality.
As the premier resource in workplace learning
and performance, the American Society for Training
and Development (ASTD) established the e-Learning
Courseware Certification (eCC) Program to set
professional and industry standards for
e-learning courseware development. To be
certified, courseware must meet rigorous
standards.
RDC's planning, development, and evaluation
processes meet or exceed the requirements
established by the ASTD Certification Standards
Committee. Developed to exacting standards,
RDC's e-learning modules are instructionally
sound, compatible with asynchronous web-based
standards, and excel in usability. RDC's modules
represent the largest body of e-Learning content
ever certified by the ASTD for excellence and
quality and we are one of only six vendors to
have our entire library certified.
The International Association for Continuing
Education and Training (IACET) is a non-profit
association dedicated to quality continuing
education and training programs. IACET's mission
is to promote and enhance quality in continuing
education and training through research,
education, and standard setting.
RDC's instructional design processes have
been validated and approved according to these
Guidelines, and we were awarded Authorized
Provider status in June of 2001. Authorized
Providers must undergo a comprehensive
evaluation of their educational processes
according to the IACET Criteria and Guidelines.
This certification ensures high quality training
content and enables learners to earn CEUs based
on the successful mastery of learning modules.
With RDC's learning modules, learners can
receive credit from degree-granting colleges,
universities, and professional associations.
